160 Leroy – Luxury Condominiums 160 Leroy Street – This 210,000sf, 12-Story new development contains 57 High-End Luxury Condominium Units. Owing to the building’s unique shape, residences take one of 14 different layouts with each unit containing two kitchens (social and “dirty” kitchens) encompassing one through six bedrooms. An undulating wave of glass inspired by Oscar Niemeyer and designed by Herzog & de Meuron. The project is located at the West Side Highway and adjacent to the Hudson River directly within Flood Zone guidelines. A sophisticated SOE design and program was deployed which consisted of the installation of a Soil Mix Wall for deep excavation. This successfully reduced dewatering and foundation installation costs. Guidelines. This sophisticated structure incorporates a curving, mixed-material facade with exposed concrete elements and faceted full height ultra-quiet window walls. The ground floor level required approximately 8,000 survey points to ensure precise curved geometry as designed by the architect.
